My background
I grew up in Richmond, Virginia where I entered the Marine Corps straight out of Meadowbrook High School. After active duty I worked in the commercial print industry for 24 years. I started making knives part time in 1985 - went full time in 2004. At present I am the only knifemaker to be chosen to make the prestigious SHOT Show Knife more than once. I have had this honor 5 times so far. My work has been the subject of feature articles in magazines in Greece, China, Japan, and here at home in the United States. I have clients as far away as Iceland and many of my knives have served with our forces in Afghanistan and Iraq.
